Vintage Russian Soviet Hand Carved Wooden Bogorodskoye Bear Figure

Hand-carved traditional Russian wooden folk toy known as a Bogorodskoye bear. Identified on the label as a "playing bear", this one is playing a cello. Paper label bottom. Approx 6” H, 3” W, 3” D. Probably 1970’s from the Bogorodskaya Factory of Artistic Carving, Bogorodskoye village, Moscow region, Zagorsky district. PLEASE NOTE: some scuffs and what seems like minor damage to the top of the cello (see detail). From smoke free storage.
