Renaissance tympani heads boast a warm, dark, focused sound with full-range projection. Combining the look and feel of calfskin with superb tonality and consistency. Low aluminum insert rings accomodates early hand screw drums (especially most pre-1985 major brnad models) and allowing the tuning handle to reach the receiver. The aluminum insert ring provides a more flexible platform for tuning, and will not rust over time.
