This is a vintage Pilot fountain pen, the "Custom Stripe."
This model was released in the 1970s and is characterized by the vertical stripe pattern applied to the entire stainless steel body. While having a sharp and modern impression unique to a metal body, it also boasts the practicality that is characteristic of Pilot pens, making it popular among both collectors and users even today.
The body material is stainless steel. It has a moderate weight, providing a solid and stable feel when held. The stripe processing not only adds to the aesthetics but also contributes to a non-slip grip, making it a well-considered design for practical use. The cap is a snap-on type, allowing for quick and easy opening and closing.
The ink system is a cartridge/converter type. It is easy to maintain and suitable for everyday use.
The nib is a Pilot-made 18k white gold nib, with a medium (M) line width. With a moderate thickness and stable ink flow, it is a well-balanced line width that is easy to use for a wide range of purposes, from notebooks and planners to business applications. You can enjoy the smooth and straightforward writing feel that is characteristic of Pilot pens.
The condition is near-mint. There are very slight scratches due to storage, but there are no noticeable scratches, dents, or deep marks, and the overall impression is very clean.
