Caligo Safe Wash Relief Inks are oil-based printing inks that are easy to clean up with soap and cold water. These inks are made from Linseed vegetable oil from flax plants and beautiful, finely ground artist-quality pigments. These inks produce stong crisp prints on both lightly damp and dry paper allowing for the use of many printing techniques. To help with ink transfer and reduce tack by adding a little low viscosity Caligo Safe Wash Oil or Caligo Wiping and Tack Reducer Compound. Cranfield Colours Caligo Safe Wash Relief Inks are vegan and not tested on animals. These inks have been comprehensively reviewed by an independent toxicologist and are considered “non-toxic” in accordance with the ACMI Approved Product (AP) seal. The AP Seal identifies art materials that are safe and certified to contain no materials in sufficient quantities to be toxic or injurious to humans, including children, or to cause acute or chronic health problems. Caligo Safe Wash Relief Ink Black contains furnace carbon black pigment (PBk7). It is semi-opaque to opaque and has average drying time. It has a Blue Wool Lightfast Scale rating of 8.
